On October 16th, 2014 from 5-10 pm, The Connection Art Project will host the Streets of Manila, a one-day art and fundraising event as part of the South Loop Alliance Activate series. The Connection Art Project will transform a downtown alleyway with art performances, installation pieces, music and dance. Part spectacle, part party, the event will draw between 500-1,000 guest for the Chicago pop-up event.
From ChiStreetsBlog.org: “The evening heated up when the local band SamaSama Project took the stage, performing a hybrid of Filipino folk, rock, ska, and Latin music, inspired by a 1970s musical movement called Manila Sound…”
